I sit,
not because I am lost,
but because I remember.
The world moves,
but my heart stays
in one place—
still,
certain,
and full of fire.
If he comes,
he’ll know me by the way I wait—
not helpless,
but holy.
He’ll see my name
in the water’s shimmer,
and he’ll understand:
this love was never late.
It was always
becoming.
